Long time, No post

Life has been full lately. The following pictures describe about 1/10th of what has been going on in our lives. These show: meow-meow likes to be wrapped in newspaper and held like a baby, blue delphiniums that I grew, I make buffaloberry wine, we add counterspace to the kitchen (yeah!), I finish the eternal embroidery project.
I am on the cusp of newness. Friday is my last day at work. Then I have a month and a week off to do whatever I want. This will probably involve moving my sister to Kansas, painting the house (if I'm lucky), working on concrete projects in the yard, and reading an entire bookcase's worth of books.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of seeing my college girlfriends in Minneapolis. Lots of laughing was had. My face and my ribs hurt from laughing, actually. This is the kind of reunion that I like. Our weekend mostly consisted of laughing. It also consisted of eating at the Good Earth (yum!), and spending some time at the Beach at Lake Johanna whereupon I realized that our population really *is* becoming as obese as the TV says it is.
This weekend I have my 10-yr high school reunion. Everyone's asking me "What are you going to wear?" to which I reply, "I don't really give a rat's ass. Whatever fits that day, I guess." Unlike a lot of people, I really like my class, and I have seen most of them recently, so I don't really feel as if I have anyone to impress at this reunion.
This weekend we also have the pleasure of attending and helping out with our friends, Jason and Fran's, anniversary reception. They have been secretly married for the past three years and are now "outting" themselves on their 3rd anniversary which just happens to be Friday the 13th which just also happens to be my last day of work in the banking world.
I have lots of thoughts about that swirling around in my head, but they are not yet ready to be deposited onto the Internets as of yet, so for now they continue to swirl.
